As you will know, a Do Not Tow sticker often ‘speaks’ for the driver of a vehicle when he or she is unable to. Post-accident, the last thing on one’s mind is the question of ‘who is legitimately authorised to tow my vehicle’. Between backed-up traffic, unscrupulous tow truck drivers and even possibly, injured passengers, you may not necessarily consider the impact of having your car towed by an unauthorised tow truck.
Once towed, should the matter end up in court i.e. the unauthorised tow company claiming tow and/or storage fees, and should the insured’s vehicle have been towed by anyone other than the party legally authorised to approve the tow i.e. Barker, the Do Not Tow sticker is a formal instruction from Barker that no one else other than an authorised tow dealer may tow the vehicle.
The above scenario could ultimately result in the towing aspect of the claim not being paid. To avoid further complications & additional claim costs we are asking you, our valued client, to please ensure that you attach at least one of our BARKER INSURANCE NO TOW STICKERS to the rear side triangle window of your vehicle/s and secondly avoid using any tow truck operator unless authorised by our BIB Assist 24/7 Emergency call centre on 0861 227 537
At Barkers, we realise that life isn’t about what could go wrong, it’s about what can go right. If you require additional NO TOW STICKERS or LICENSE DISC HOLDERS now or at any time in the future please call our office on 0861 227 537 or click HERE.
