You may have read about this initiative previously on our website, but such an amazing cause deserves to be mentioned again as it just keeps getting better!
Jozi to Queenstown - Cycling for Education - 850km
BIB jumped on board with the Ride1965 team to help out where we can. For the last 3 years we have sponsored the insurance cover for the support vehicles used to escort the cyclists on their journey with medical support, subsidence, safety and encouragement.
A BIB client Tony Frost who started the Ride1965 wrote: “We are truly grateful to you and BIB for the Insurance of our support vehicles and support, particularly your personal support and encouragement. It means a great deal to us. The 1965Ride has continued to gain momentum and it looks as though we will have about 30 cyclists this year riding from Jozi to Queenstown for the education this year. We will be supporting 7 pupils in 2014 and we are thrilled that they are fully representative of our South AFrican demography. ”
The riders are all getting geared up and legs prepped for the 2014 ride which takes place on from Wednesday the 2nd of April to Thursday 10th of April 2014. If you would like to get involved in this awesome cause, get in touch with Tony Frost on 083 325 0922, admin@queenstowneducation.co.za
