After 20 glorious years with us, we are deeply saddened to bid farewell to Jennifer Bassett, our Master in Commercial Insurance, as she heads into retirement.
Jen’s extensive knowledge in all variations of commercial insurance has offered our clients best in class advice for their businesses. Her intimate understanding of all her clients’ unique insurance needs has brought a significant level of personalisation to our insurance offering. And the one thing Jen is never in short supply of is sourcing innovative solutions for the tricky challenges associated with commercial underwriting.
These innovative solutions extend way beyond the insurance realm, even into the office kitchen, where Jen was frequently found whipping up culinary delights or generously sharing her gastronomic sensations from home with us.
She absolutely loves spending time outdoors, be it on the beach, in the bush, or just in her garden tending to her lush flower beds, and resourcefully growing her own veggies.
Jen has a cracking sense of humor as demonstrated by the myriad of jokes she sent our way every Friday in celebration of her self-proclaimed “Friday Funnies”. Although she has been working remotely from her home in the Midlands for the past 3 years, we have always felt Jen’s presence alongside us at our Barker office in Rosebank.
Jen, we salute you for your bravery, perseverance, and dedication to your Barker Family and our special clients.
We will all miss you beyond measure, as evident from the comments from your colleagues below:
