The name Qhubeka has been an active topic of late with the Dimension Data Qhubeka Team doing so well at the current Tour De France, what a privilege it was to be part of the Qhubeka Bicycle handover in Orlando East. Sixty shiny and new green Dimension Data Qhubeka Bicycles were handed over to the learners of Selelekele High School at Orlando Communal Hall. Barker Insurance donated 10 out of 60 bicycles, and were lucky enough to join this special occasion. To watch the joy and happiness on the learners faces when they were individually handed their own bicycle, by a member of the Regatammogo Cycling Team from Naledi Soweto, was priceless. The bicycles were set up to fit each learner and off they went riding around the parking lot of Orlando Communal Hall like pro’s. Once all the learners were set up, they took to their first journey on their new bikes back to school followed closely by their Principal, Mrs Lephse.
