The Barker team definitely “spread the love” this morning for their annual Mandela Day 67mins of service. This year’s theme of a “Hugs in a Mugs”, saw the team put together 67 soup cups which were filled with soup sachets and a sachet of coffee to warm 67 bellies.
But what goes perfectly with a warm, tasty cup of soup?…a sarmie! The BIB team used the balance of their 67minutes, spreading, wrapping and packing as many sarmies as they could to accompany the “Hug in a Mug”. All the “Hugs in Mugs” and sarmies where collected by "My Soul Provider", who distributes them to various charities including homeless shelters, orphanages and homes for women and children.
