Rhett and Lloyd Barker showed their support by joining in the speedo-clad comprades and running through the afternoon traffic through the streets of Parktown and this year Durban and Capetown assembled men of all shapes and sizes as well. The rather úncool’ speedo, has actually been the catalyst for something much larger – ensuring that men around the world are alerted to the dangers of testicular and prostate cancer!
Hot dogs and refreshments were served on the house and a DJ played some smooth tunes whilst supporters and runners socialized afterward. The largest gathering occurred at last year’s race where ‘603 coveRED participants scored a collective 2012 Guinness World Records entry for their efforts.’
Most of the registration money goes towards cancer charities and judging by the amazing response the Etana daREdevil Run will continue to be a positive and effective message in South Africa. ‘Hats off’ to Etana who once again hosted a well-organized and successful event.
