The BIB Unite Team recently came up with a fun way to donate to the less fortunate. With winter quickly approaching, they created the "NO SHOES SILLY SOCK DAY", in other words, wear your silly socks to work and donate the shoes you would have worn to charity.
The different departments took it upon themselves to group together and give their socks a theme, hence creating a little healthy competition between departments. The Claims & Admin Team created "Balls & Whistles" with their sporty team socks. The Personal Team went mad with accessories and landed up with the "Transvest Sox". And the Commercial Team put together a male and female combo "Fox & Jocks".
It was great to see the shoes piling up knowing that we could help in such a small way to keep someone’s feet warm this winter. Altogether the teams collected 105 pairs of shoes which were donated to Roger from My Soul Provider who distributes the shoes to various charities around Johannesburg. What a great idea it was and we encourage all of you to celebrate "No Shoes Silly Sock Day" in your own offices. Thank you to our generous BIB team who once again helped to make a difference!
