HAPPY EASTER
EASTER is often accompanied by fond memories of Easter Egg Hunts and eating chocolate to our hearts content!! Most of us have been truly blessed with vibrant and happy Easters. However, there are many underprivileged children who wonder each year where the Easter Bunny is and why it should be different for them?? BIB Unite have chosen to use this Easter period as an opportunity to bring the joys of Easter to at least a few children and of course create some joyful memories!
On Friday 11th April members of the BIB Unite team paid a visit to Bokamoso Day Care Centre in Killarney to distribute a large portion of the Easter Eggs (248 to be exact) to 80 children and a Lindt Bunny given to each of the 7 staff members, including founder of Bokamosa, Anne Mohlahlana . We were welcomed with a sign made by the children especially for BIB and we were greeted with such excitement and enthusiasm as they all eagerly awaited the BIB Easter Bunnies delivery.
They prepared songs for us and a young child gave a personalized thank you message for BIB. It was a heart-warming experience to see what appreciation each child had and that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference!
The other half of the eggs were delivered the same week to a pre-school in Mooiplaas called Ditshego. There are 140 kids and 7 teachers whom were provided with Easter treats! See the photos below of the childrens happy smiley faces with their Easter Eggs and a letter from Isabel Nel the Managing Director of Ditshego School.
Thanks again for all of your generosity!!
