This year, Mandela Day wasn’t only a celebration of a great man, but of a great team. Every year the BIB team rally together to give back by performing their 67mins of service in commemoration of Madiba’s years of service, however this year they were surprised to realise that their own years of service at BIB were being celebrated too. A surprise party was arranged and the BIB Long Service Award Hall of Fame was launch.
Rhett Barker had this to say on the day…
"This is NO ORDINARY business and the people sitting before me today are NO ORDINARY people! The Barker Insurance Journey started in April 1973, over 42 years ago and none of this would be possible without the extraordinary people that have all played a part in making this business what it is today. Today is a celebration of long service, those who have been part of the family for over 10 years and those who are on their way to 10 years. Barker Insurance Brokers would like to recognize & thank those individuals who have dedicated a large part and in some cases their whole careers to Barkers!"
